Carved Dance deals with the relationship between rhe artist and the medium, following a sculptors process of creating new sculptural forms through dance. The contrast between sculpture and dance is obvious. Yet they have many things in common: like in modelling, we could add and modify movements; like in carving, we could remove them; and similar to welding, we could meld all elements - visual, physical and musical - together.
